UVA Financial Aid

At U.Va., we don't just say that a diverse student body benefits everyone, we believe it! The AccessUVa program is one of the most innovative financial aid programs in higher education. Since its inception in 2004, we have seen qualified students attend U.Va. regardless of their financial status. This program even gives students access to study abroad, leadership programs, as well as service learning opportunities.

Key Dates

From the Dean

A question we hear often is why are programs like Kinesiology or Speech Pathology & Audiology a part of the college of education. You, too, may be surprised by the variety of areas of study at the Curry School.

At Curry, we take very seriously our role as a thought leader in human development. We recognize the powerful connections between teaching, learning and wellness that happens in our nation's schools, clinics and communities. Whether we consider the early learning environments a toddler might experience with her family or how teaching people of all ages the importance of a nutritious diet, at Curry you will be pushed to think of your area of study in a broader context of the human experience.

Our students and faculty are working together to better understand how each of the areas at the Curry School impact the others.

Perhaps the best example of this is our Sheila C. Johnson Center for Human Services. At the Center, students in our Speech Pathology & Audiology program, our Counselor Ed, Clinical Psychology, and our Reading programs collaborate to assess the needs of clients from multiple perspectives.

We look forward to your being a part of our mission. Together, we can discover new ways of approaching needs, create innovative solutions and change our world.
